Simple Blue Fresh Start (or Fresh Start Plus) instructions involve adding the product to fresh, clean water, running the system for 24 hours to remove contaminants, and then balancing the water.
Simple Blue Fresh Start Instructions:
- Fill & Clean: Fill the spa with fresh water and make sure the filter is clean. It is recommended to remove the filter while filling to prevent air locks.
- Add Fresh Start: Pour one full bottle of Simple Blue Fresh Start (or Fresh Start Plus) into the water while the pump is running.
- Circulate: Run the spa's filtration system continuously for 24 hours.
- Rinse Filter: After 24 hours, remove the filters and rinse them thoroughly with a garden hose.
Balance Water: Test the water and balance it to the following levels:
- pH: 7.2 – 7.8 (or 7.2-7.6 in some guides).
- Total Alkalinity: 80 – 150 ppm (or 80-120 ppm).
- Calcium Hardness: 150 – 300 ppm (or 300-400 ppm).
