Winter Wonder-Spa

Jacuzzi family in snow

Tis' the season to be jolly and to use your Hot Tub!! Every year I have customers ask about winterizing their spa and I always ask why... I can’t imagine anything better (well, maybe the Cincinnati Bengals winning the super bowl) than a relaxing soak in the almost perfect low country temps we receive in the winter months.  Even in much colder climates, there is nothing like enjoying a soak in your spa while snow falls all around you.  It's an amazing experience and I hope you get the chance to try it sometime.

Certainly I understand that sometimes you really need to close your spa down for the season.  If you need to close your spa, please keep in mind, removing the water from the inside of the tub doesn’t mean you’ve removed the water from the 100’s of feet of plumbing inside of the tub. If not handled properly, that can present problems with water balance when it is time to reopen the spa.  For that reason alone it is probably best to keep the spa open whenever possible. However, in the event I cannot sway you to keep your tub running, I can help you properly “winterize” your hot tub, if need be, which will minimize any problems starting the spa up when you are ready to use it again. Feel free to call or come in for a chat. I would be glad to help!
